Fabric: 1000 Denier MIL-SPEC CORDURA® nylon is the industry-leading choice for a variety of heavy-duty applications such as outdoor gear, military gear, and now dog harnesses. It is a versatile nylon fabric with more strength and bulk than No. 7 Duck at little more than half the weight. CORDURA® Nylon is a textured nylon for a natural spun-like appearance, with excellent resistance to fading, abrasion, rot, and mildew. Quick drying, and highly water repellent. This particular fabric is also one of the finest textiles we have ever seen. It's incredibly tough, yet still soft and pliable for comfortable wear for long hikes and service dog shifts. Lastly, this MIL-SPEC version is 100% Made in USA and fully Berry Compliant.

Hardware: 1.5" Nexus Side Release Buckles

Originally designed by ITW Nexus, the Black Side Release buckle has long been the industry standard for side release functionality and design appearance. Center bar wings prevent over-flexure of arms and release under impact loading. The Ladderloc feature provides maximum webbing grip while allowing smooth and easy adjustment. It is only recommended for dogs with non-aggressive behavior. Made in the USA!

Molle Straps - MOLLE stands for “modular light-weight load-carrying equipment” SFGC uses military specifications for our molle straps including Velcro® MilSpec loop and nylon webbing. NOTE: Not available on Small, XS, and XXS sizes. On these small sizes Velcro® side panels are added but they are not Molle straps

Steps to measure for your dogs harness:

1. On the size guide above you see the red circle on each dog. That is wear you measure. It's called the girth and is the largest area of the dog's body, right behind the dogs front legs. If you have a tailors measuring tape use that. If you don't use a cord, strap, belt, what every you have handy. Then layout what you used and measure it with a standard tape measure. It's best to do this 3 times to be sure you have it right.

2. Shark Fin Gear's harnesses are made so that if the girth measurement is right, the neck measurement won't need to be measured. We guarantee if the girth fits, the rest of the harness fits. If you are not satisfied with the fit we will replace it with the best size for you at no charge.

Durable USA-made Harness with Exceptional Design

Incredible display of craftsmanship, comfortable design, and quality materials. The size medium fits my 55-lb Treeing Walker Coonhound mix (28" girth) perfectly, around the girth and across her chest, with the chest tightened to the maximum amount possible. I cannot wait to order a second one for my 41-lb Bluetick Coonhound mix (27" girth). Even though his girth measurement fits within either the small or medium harness measurements, I will be ordering him a small as the medium for my other dog is too loose across his chest, even when tightest. Both dogs are typical sporting hound builds--slim but muscular--though the Bluetick has a small amount of Beagle in his bloodlines resulting in his smaller stature. These former shelter hunting hounds will be wearing these during everything from scent games to tracking training to my nieces' and nephews' sporting events. Most Durable Harness for working dogs!

Our male Aussie can destroy anything. I mean anything. This harness has held up to 10-12 hours a day 7 days a week for the last 10-11 months of work and LOTS of play. Several washes with detergent. It only shows a little bit of thread fray around the velcro. The buckles and stitching are still sound. Just wish there might be a few more color options for our Girl pup. We will be ordering another. Solid investment!!

High quality tactical harness

I recently purchased the Tactical Dog Harness With Handle for my border collie. It is made of high quality and heavy duty fabric. This is the best harness I have ever purchased. Mine is black with the aluminum Cobra 1.5 inch quick release buckles. It looks awesome on my dog and gives me confidence my dog is not getting out of the harness. She does not get along with other dogs and will jump and twist when she is in proximity of another dog. This harness gives me more control of her. I also purchased the Frog Clip Tactical K9 Training Leash with the aluminum swivel. It is a great leash also made of high quality materials.

Kong leash with swivel.

Extremely well built Leash! I have been using a 25 kn screwgate carabaneer until now, but i forget to screw it close before a walk often and my dog will rub on dirt on her back and it gets undone on walks!! The leash itself is double ply military nylon and military mylon webbing so this is made for a big dog and will last a long time. The kong swivel is also alot smaller and lighter than i thought which is great. Dont get a nockoff kong carabaneer leash on amozon for 15 bucks if you care about your dog, they will fail!
